Bronx to host 2 PSAL football home openers
The coaches of two PSAL teams say they?re excited for a new season to begin ahead of two Saturday home openers.
John F. Kennedy High School, ranked seventh, will face Tottenville High School, ranked sixth. Knights coach Alex Vega says he is confident with his lineup, though the team has had to bring in new players due to injuries. Vega says he expects a big turnout for the game.
Lehman High School will take on Clinton High School in their home opener. Lehman head coach Carmine Colasanto has 199 career victories. If his team wins Saturday, he will hit the 200-win milestone. ?200 is nice, but actually I?m just thinking about the game,? he says.
