Group helps BX kids score slam dunk in hoops, life
A youth group is helping Bronx kids navigate the ins and outs of life on and off the basketball court.
The Supportive Children's Advocacy Network of New York is run out of Mullally Park on the outskirts of Yankee Stadium. Children get instruction about how to improve their hoops skills, life skills and homework.
SCAN is led by former Rice and St. John's star Anthony Glover. The group was founded in 1977 and is a partnership between the Parks Department and a trustee.
