Fordham?s basketball team took its shot against one of the top teams in the country Tuesday, but came up short.
After two impressive wins to begin the season, the Rams found themselves face-to-face with the Missouri Tigers in the regional finals of the CBE Classic.
The Rams started out slow, trailing by five early in the first half. Bryant Dunston showed some nifty moves early on, including a one-handed catch. He eventually racked up 13 points in the game.
Later in the first half, the Rams kept working it around the perimeter. Marcus Stout rattled home a deep three-pointer, scoring 13 for the game as well.
Fordham outscored Missouri by six in the second half, but the slow start cost them the game. The final score was 79 to 55.
