Autopsy under way on body found in Bronx trash

(AP) - An autopsy is being done Tuesday on a body that was found wrapped in garbage bags in the Bronx.

Police say the victim was discovered Monday in a first-floor apartment of a building on East 222nd Street in Williamsbridge.

Police were called after neighbors smelled a foul odor.

Authorities are not saying if the body was the person who rented the apartment.
