School bus crash highlights 'tricky' intersection
A fender-bender at a Bronx intersection involving a school bus full of children has people demanding change Wednesday.Eight children suffered minor injures Tuesday at Andrews and W. Tremont avenues. Andrews Avenue changes from a two-way street to a one-way street at W. Tremont, in front of the Shield Institute school.
Parents complain the accident would not have occurred if there were more streets signs or the traffic flow were changed.
"The buses are kind of large," says parent Yahaira Gonzalez. "No one really knows if it's a two-way or not ? It's a very bad place."
The Department of Transportation plans to send someone to survey the area to determine whether more street markings or signs are needed.
