Parents fight to keep Bronx day care center open

Concerned parents, day care staff and community leaders gathered in front of the Lucille Murray Child Development Center Friday, urging the city not to close down the Mott Haven day care center that serves about 200 children. The city cited long-running financial mismanagement and poor building conditions as reasons for closing the E. 140th Street center.
