Rice edged by St. Benedict's

Rice High School narrowly lost to St. Benedict?s High School 55-52 at Madison Square Garden Tuesday in a match-up of boys basketball powerhouses.

Rice gave the top-ranked boys basketball team in the country, from Newark, a run for their money. They even tied the contest at 49-49 with a minute to play. But St. Benedict?s ultimately came out on top.
