Police bust alleged brothel on Bruckner Blvd.
Police are investigating a prostitution ring that has been allegedly operating out of an apartment on Bruckner Boulevard.
According to neighbors, one of the apartments at 1551 Bruckner Blvd. doubled as a brothel, where the prostitutes were young girls who were kidnapped from Manhattan.
Residents say one of the victims was a homeless 19-year-old girl, who was allegedly kidnapped and raped by pimps, and then forced to dance for them. Witnesses say she escaped after being threatened with a gun. She called 911 from a nearby car wash.
Neighbors say by the time police arrived at the scene, the suspects fled. Police arrested one woman and took in a baby girl who is believed to belong to one of the young girls.
Some neighbors say they often see prostitutes on Bruckner Boulevard at night, so they're not surprised.
?I told my mom we should move, because this is dangerous, it's not safe at all,? says one local resident, Harsaana Stel.
