Police hunt for man wanted in BX bank robberies

Police are searching for a man wanted in three bank robberies in the Bronx.

The suspect robbed two banks on Allerton Avenue and one on White Plains Road. Police describe him as being in his 20s or 30s, about 5-feet 6-inches tall and 200 pounds.

Police say he was last seen wearing a brown, hooded sweatshirt, a black vest, gloves and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the bank robberies is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
