Prisoner's escape in Longwood causes concern

Business owners around the 41st Precinct say police officials should have notified them when a prisoner walked out of the jail unnoticed.

The entrepreneurs along Longwood Avenue say it was the responsibility of authorities to tell them about the prisoner?s escape so they could be more vigilant.

The owner of a dry cleaner that sits kitty-corner to the precinct says he?s concerned about the news. ?It?s a really safe neighborhood because the precinct is on the corner,? he says. ?But that?s news ? that?s something to be worried about.?
