The management of the Co-op City power plant confirmed Wednesday that a noose had been found hanging from a ceiling inside the plant over a week ago.
A spokesperson for the Co-op City Riverbay Corp. says the act has been categorized as a hate crime, and officials have already met with union leaders to discuss the implications of the incident.
Plant managers are also expected to approach the Bronx district attorney in order to decide on the best course of action regarding the investigation of the bias act.
