Point Yacht Club may have to close doors

Multiple violations issued by the city?s Department of Parks and Recreation may have a 94-year-old yacht club closing its doors.

Point Yacht Club members in Soundview say they have about a week to pack their things and leave the building and dock that the parks department has deemed ?insecure? and a ?threat to personal safety.? Members of the club have said that they will not go down without a fight.

One member has said that the building is not in bad condition at all and is calling upon the parks department to help the Point Yacht Club rather than close it down.
