Two deliverymen who were transferring thousands of dollars from a check cashing site on Longwood Avenue were shot during a robbery attempt Monday.
According to authorities, two men in a dark colored Nissan opened fire on the deliverymen, who were driving a black Mercedes.
Local residents say they often see deliverymen transferring money, and many times they lack proper protection, such as armored vehicles and guards.
Both victims were rushed to area hospitals with gunshot wounds. Their condition is unknown.
