Board of Elections avoids frenzy in the Bronx
As a record number of people streamed into Bronx polling sites, things were surprisingly calm over at the borough's Board of Elections.
However, one man who showed up to lodge a protest says that when he tried to vote at the same place he has for the past 20 years, "they told me my name wasn't in the book."
The voter says he was asked to fill out a paper ballot, which he worries won't be counted. Board of Elections officials say the paper ballots will all be tallied.
Election officials say that to avoid any mix-ups in the future, voters should be sure to register ahead of time.
