Officials: Utility pole fire could be caused by snow

Posted: Updated:

Officials say an electrical fire on a Zerega Avenue utility pole caused power outages in the surrounding neighborhood Friday afternoon.

According to officials, the fire may have been caused by Friday?s snowstorm. They say the wet, heavy snow could have caused a wire to snap and break. The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There is no word on when power will be restored to the area.
