BX school holds girls' empowerment conference

More than 100 girls gathered at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx Saturday to take part in the second annual female empowerment conference.
The event was organized by the Bronx-based high school sorority D.I.V.A.S., which is dedicated to fighting domestic violence and inspiring young women.
Participants in Saturday?s conference had a chance to learn health and beauty tips, and take part in dance and self-defense classes.
