Fire tears through Norwood businesses

A massive fire tore through a row of Bainbridge Avenue stores early Monday morning, leaving some businesses in ruins and others with extensive damage.

Fire officials say the two-alarm fire at Bainbridge Avenue and 204th Street began at about 6 a.m., shortly after a bakery opened. Fire officials say the flames began in that bakery.

The fire quickly spread to an adjacent meat market, requiring 75 firefighters to tackle the flames.

Officials say on one was hurt. An investigation is ongoing.
