Police shut down more than three blocks of Morris Avenue early Sunday morning after a body was found outside the Paterson Houses.
According to police, Jamell Wood, 26, was shot in the head near his home late Saturday night. Neighbors say a party at the local community center may have sparked the violence.
Authorities searched the closed streets, looking for evidence that could lead them to those responsible. They are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
