Kids in BX, rest of city head back to school

Children in the Bronx and throughout New York City headed back to school Wednesday morning.
Students at Michelangelo Junior High School were greeted by state Sen. Jeff Klein, who visited his alma mater along with Schools Chancellor Joel Klein. The two toured classrooms and met with teachers.
Students at P.S. 24 in Riverdale celebrated their school's long-awaited expansion. The annex will have enough space for the entire fifth-grade class and there will also be a multipurpose center for science and library research.
"It looks really good, and we're excited to have our independent building," says fifth-grader Adhishek Bajpai.
