2 Jerome Ave. businesses flooded

Two businesses on Jerome Avenue have sustained severe flood damage after a pipe burst on the street Friday night.
The owners of a restaurant and an auto parts store say private contractors were working on the street when the incident happened, flooding their businesses down to the basement level for at least three hours and leaving them without running water.
Radhames Guerrero, the owner of City Mufflers Center, says at one point firefighters told him to evacuate, fearing the building might collapse.
Community activist Sydney Flores says due to lack of running water, the restaurant will remain closed until workers finish repairs.
