Bronx student shot in shoulder after school
Police say a senior at Bronx Regional High School was shot in the shoulder while walking home from school Monday afternoon.
The Department of Education confirmed the shooting happened at around 3 p.m. in front of the school on East 164th Street and Reverend James A. Police Avenue.
Investigators searched the area for evidence that might lead them to the shooter, but have yet to identify a suspect or a motive, though authorities believe the suspect may have tried to rob the victim.
Authorities say they hope surveillance cameras outside the school and in the neighborhood captured video of the shooter.
