Schumer warns against phony H1N1 remedies

Sen. Charles Schumer requested the Federal Trade Commission crack down on the sale of phony swine flu remedies Monday.
Schumer claims scam artists are preying on people concerned about catching the H1N1 virus and making them feel they can rely on products that don't work. According to Schumer, some people who buy the so-called preventative products and remedies may not get the vaccine and could contribute to the spread of the virus.
According to The Associated Press, Schumer also planned to contact the commissioner of the FDA about the products.
