World AIDS Day marked in the Bronx

As people in the Bronx and beyond are marking World AIDS Day Tuesday, political leaders and health experts are urging everyone to get tested for HIV.

According to the New York City Department of Health, the Bronx has the highest number of AIDS-related deaths in the city. Between January and June of 2008, 213 Bronx residents died of the illness, according to the department.

"If you can get to the disease earlier, you can stay healthier," says Dr. Yvette Calderon, director of Adult Urgent Care.
