Bronx food pantry preparing for winter

Volunteers at St. Ann's food pantry and soup kitchen are gearing up for feeding more people as the temperatures begin to drop.

Anthony Bonilla, a volunteer, says the shelter's shelves aren't as full as he would like, but the soup kitchen still manages to feed about 100 people each week. Volunteers are hoping for more donations and more helping hands, so they can feed anyone in need.

The Department of Homeless Services is also collecting coats and preparing an emergency procedure to get unsheltered homeless people inside on especially cold nights.

St. Ann's food pantry is open every Wednesday and Saturday and the soup kitchen is open Sundays.
