Police: Note found on Time Square shooter
Police say they found a threatening note on the Bronx man who was fatally shot in Times Square Thursday after opening fire on police.
According to authorities, the note written by 25-year-old Raymond Martinez on the back of his business card read: "I feel sorry for a cop who thinks I'm getting into his paddy wagon."
Investigators say Martinez and his brother were selling CDs on Seventh Avenue when a plainclothes officer approached them and asked to see their commercial license. Martinez took off and opened fire on the officer, who shot back and killed him.
The officer wasn't hurt, but was treated for trauma at a hospital.
