5-alarm blaze destroys row of BX businesses

More than 150 firefighters rushed to the scene of a five-alarm blaze early Monday morning in the Bronx.

Authorities say the fire broke out in the basement of a diner at 291 East 204th St. and sent a row of businesses up in flames.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, officials say.

Residents say they will come together to make it through the holiday season after the devastating fire.
