Wrongly jailed Bronx man released

A Bronx man who had been jailed for several years for a crime he didn't commit has been acquitted and released, just in time for the holidays.

In 2004, Michael Ikoli, then 18 years old, was charged with fatally shooting a man. Ikoli's friend later admitted to being the gunman, however, Ikoli spent the next five years at Rikers Island, waiting for a trial due to a backlog in felony cases.

"I lost five years of my life, I missed out [on] my little brother and sisters growing up," he says.

Ikoli plans to enroll in a community college in Virginia and become an entrepreneur.
