Bargain-hunters hit the stores after Christmas
One day after all the Christmas presents have been opened, Bronx residents rushed to local stores Saturday to make exchanges and search for deals.
National retailers, including JC Penney, Macy's and Saks, are luring in customers by offering deep discounts, some up to 65 percent off, in hopes of boosting their sales.
"We knew prices would drop after Christmas," says shopper Taisha Clark.
Despite the sales, store managers say customers should not expect to find as many clearance items as last year.
"The way our company has managed our inventory, we'll have less clearance," says JC Penney store manager Dawn Dyste.
