Police: Man dies after fight outside Guerrero Bodega on Washington Avenue

A Bronx man was found dead after he was allegedly involved in a violent altercation.

Police say the 37-year-old victim got into an argument with two other men outside Guerrero Bodega on Washington Avenue. They say he was punched and hit his head when he fell to the ground, sending him into cardiac arrest.

Neighbors say the bodega is popular among residents of the tight-knit community, and violence there is a rare occurrence.

The victim was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
