Bronx Hot Spots: Egidio Pastry Shop
This week's Bronx Hot Spots takes you to one of the longest standing pastry shops around as part of the borough's big centennial celebration.
News 12's Brittany Miller visited Egidio Pastry Shop, which has been a Belmont staple on East 187th Street for more than 100 years.
Current owner Maria Carmela Lucciols has run the shop for the last 35 years. She's only the second owner outside of the family that started it all in 1912.
Customers can enjoy a variety of decadent sweet treats at Egidio, all from original recipes, while sipping an espresso or cappuccino.
