Arrests in incident that injured NYPD officers

Four people have been arrested in connection with a Bronx shooting Tuesday that left two police officers with bullet-graze wounds.

Police say a man suspected of dealing drugs released a pit bull on officers after being chased into a basement apartment. One of the officers then opened fire on the dog, but one bullet hit a wall and ricocheted, injuring two other officers.

One officer suffered a cheek wound; the other has a leg wound. They are in stable condition.

AP wire services were used in this report.
