Students return to school after wild melee

Students at Evander Childs Educational Campus went back to school Thursday hoping for a normal day following a melee in the school's cafeteria.

Authorities say three students were arrested after Wednesday's fight, in which several students and school safety officers at the Gun Hill Road school were injured.

A Department of Education representative tells News 12 that violence at the school is down compared with last year, but officials are still taking extra precautions like bringing in counselors to speak with students.
