Bronx man shot in face by air gun is recovering

A Bronx man who was shot in the face by an illegal air rifle is recovering Thursday.

Andrew Goebel said he was taking his dog for a short walk when a pellet from an air rifle hit him in the face. He drove himself to Jacobi Medical Center where he received treatment.

Goebel plans on taking six months to recover from his wounds and is looking for a plastic surgeon to fix the scar on his face received from the pellet.

Police are investigating the incident but have not made any arrests.
