Local Haitian doctor back from relief mission

A St. Barnabas Hospital surgeon who traveled to his native Haiti to help with relief efforts says the amount of destruction he saw was "just unbelievable."

Dr. Ronald Verrier spent nine days in the devastated island nation, treating about 40 patients in a Port-au-Prince hospital and performing numerous amputations.

Verrier's parents survived the earthquake, but his father died shortly thereafter from shock, the doctor says.
