Rally calls for Councilman Seabrook to resign

A group of Bronx residents rallied Saturday for the immediate resignation of City Councilman Larry Seabrook following a public corruption indictment.

Led by former City Council candidate Jerome Rice, the protesters gathered outside Seabrook's office on White Plains Road. Last week, the three-term councilman was accused of stealing millions of dollars from the city to pay for lavish gifts for himself and relatives.

Residents say they plan to take their fight to City Hall unless Seabrook agrees to step down.
