Bronx digs out from winter wallop
Bronx residents spent Saturday morning digging out from the fourth biggest snowstorm on record in New York City.
The storm dumped nearly 2 feet of snow in the borough. By Saturday, side streets in the area of Pelham Parkway had been cleared, but cars parked on the street were still stuck in mounds of ice and snow.
"I shoveled out three times yesterday, and in the middle of the night they came by, plowed me back in," says Joe Timpano.
The ice covering the ground has also caused trouble for pedestrians and drivers alike.
