Residents angry over arson debrisPosted: Updated:
It's been months since a Norwood Foodtown Supermarket was set on fire and residents say the debris still hasn't been cleaned up.
Property owner Daniel Katz says he wasn't allowed to touch anything at the East 204th Street site until the fire department finished its arson investigation. Residents say they've been dealing with the smell of rotting food and trash since the December blaze.
According to Katz, he will clean up the area and build a bigger supermarket once the Buildings Department approves his plan. He says that should happen in the next two or three weeks.
