Donor steps up for Haiti relief

A donor has stepped up to give $2,500 to a Bronx church that was unable to get supplies to Haiti because they needed funds for transportation.

Members of the Church of the Mediator in Kingsbridge donated boxes of clothing, food and water more than three months ago to be sent to Haiti for relief efforts. However, the church did not have enough funding to ship the supplies to Haiti.

Father Diego Delgado said earlier he hoped the supplies could be sent to Haiti by the end of the month.
