Clothesline project gives voice to abuse victims

Survivors of domestic violence are being honored at the 13th Annual Bronx Clothesline Project at Hostos Community College.

Organizers of the event hung T-shirts covered in messages about the consequences of crime, from sexual abuse to gun violence. In addition, counseling booths have been set up so victims of violence can seek help.

Organizers say the event allows victims to empower themselves.
