Danger zones in Allerton to be surveyed
Councilman James Vacca and community members plan on surveying the most dangerous intersections in the Allerton neighborhood.
The effort is part of a statewide campaign called 'Complete Streets Week: Making New York Walkable for All Generations.' The intersection of Eastchester and Mace avenues in the Allerton section of the Bronx made the list of the top 50 sites in the city that pose the most danger to senior pedestrians.
Participants will be looking for issues such as potholes, unclear signs and faulty traffic lights.
