Bronx residents celebrate Earth Day
Bronx residents are doing their part to reduce their carbon footprint on the 40th Earth Day celebration.
Students from P.S. 24 and P.S. 81 walked to school instead of taking the bus. Many walked with their parents, and one student led the parade dressed as a recycling superhero.
Students also visited the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to learn about potting plants. The activity encourages students to explore the life cycle. Each student received a small potted plant for their own garden.
