Vacant Mount Eden lot may soon be cleaned up

A rat-infested Mount Eden lot that's been the subject of numerous resident complaints could soon be cleaned up.

The Department of Sanitation says it will clear the property of trash and rats if the owner, Pedro Lee, doesn't do it within the next two weeks.

The DOS says it sent Lee a letter on April 19 giving him five days to clean up the lot. If sanitation workers are forced to do the job, Lee will be billed.
