No texts, IMs or Facebook? OMG!

Students at one Riverdale school are enduring major withdrawal symptoms after school administrators asked them to take part in an experiment that banned the use of texting, instant messaging and social networking websites.

For two days, students at Riverdale Country School had to interact the old-fashioned way - face-to-face - and say they enjoyed spending more time with family and friends.

A school counselor came up with the idea and had students fill out questionnaires to document their experience.
