Police: Missing Bronx sisters found safe

Police say they have found the missing 4-year-old and 12-year-old sisters that vanished from their home Wednesday night.

Police say they found the missing girls at around 3.30 p.m. Thursday afternoon at M.S. 301.

Their mother, Shawna Brunson, says she put them to bed around 10 p.m. and found the children missing from their home on 1020 Trinity Ave. at around 4:30 a.m.

Police believe the 12-year-old, Shyuana, took her little sister, Shaylenn, to run away from home.

Family members say Shyuana has a history of running away, although they aren't sure what prompted her to leave this time or why she took her little sister.
