Lehman school officials want metal detectors

A recent spurt of violence at Lehman High School has school officials calling for metal detectors to be permanently installed.

The Department of Education confirmed in March that a student was stabbed just blocks from the school and two weeks ago a student accidentally cut himself with a two-inch knife he brought to school.

The DOE has not confirmed whether the school will get the scanners.
