P.S. 55 students help out women in need

Students at P.S. 55 collected clothing, toiletries and other necessities to donate to the Franklin Women's Shelter.

It is the third time the students have donated items to the Taking A Stand for Kindness program. Organizers say many of the students come from low-income families and were willing to contribute whatever they could.

The students also put on a music and dance performance for the women's shelter.
