Power restored for Morris Park residents

Con Edison says 2,000 Morris Park residents that lost power this morning now have it back.

A spokesperson said something tripped a circuit breaker that caused the outage.

Witnesses on Williamsbridge Road say they heard a loud explosion at about 8:30 a.m. and were instantly without power.

A local oncology office says it turned away many patients today because of the outage.
