Poll: NYers angry and frustrated with state gov't

Most New York residents are angry and frustrated with state government, according to a new poll.

The poll, which surveyed voters statewide, was part of a project called Renew New York -- a joint effort by News 12, Newsday and Hofstra University.

All of the seats in the state Senate and Assembly are on the ballot in November. When asked to look ahead to the elections, 41 percent of those surveyed say they would like to see their state senators re-elected while 43 percent did not. Thirteen percent don't know yet.

When it comes to the Assembly, 39 percent favor re-electing their current representatives, 40 percent do not and 19 percent don't know.
