Police seek 2 men in fatal shooting of cabbie

Police are looking for two men who allegedly shot and killed a 48-year-old cab driver in Kingsbridge Heights yesterday.

Witnesses say the incident occurred when the men refused to pay cab fare. The driver, Cesar Santos, was shot in the stomach while driving his cab, according to the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers.

Police say the men are Hispanic and between 18 and 20 years old, both wearing white tank tops and dark shorts.

Friends and family say Santos was a devoted husband and father of five children. They say he was a hard worker and always friendly.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
