Co-op City workers; management back to bargaining table
Co-op City workers and management are expected to get back to the bargaining table.
Workers went on strike for eight days when their contract ran out. They returned to work Wednesday while contracts were still under negotiation.
RiverBay Corporation wants the workers to switch to a different health care plan, but the union refuses. RiverBay, however, has agreed in principle to increase wages by 2.33 percent every year for four years.
